We’re officially half way through our rehearsal run and time is just whizzing by!
The challenges of Act Two are well under way and this week especially has had us all sweating bucketfuls. Dancing ‘Pick Out A Simple Tune’ has certainly been exhausting but gosh, it’s a fun number! We’ve all been working hard to isolate random body parts and play with spoons, whilst singing beautifully in harmony. I think we’re doing a grand job so far.
I think it’s safe to say that after this week’s rehearsals, we’ve all got ‘Money to Burn – Part Two’ on the brain.
Another week has flown by and what a week it was! Exhausting and fun in equal measure, we have been working hard on two of the biggest dance numbers in Act One – ‘Proper Gentlemen’ and ‘Money to Burn – part 2’.
Who doesn’t love a garden party? We certainly do! And that’s been exactly the focus of this week’s rehearsals, piecing together the gorgeous and very classy musical number “If the Rain’s Got to Fall”. The number concludes the end of Act One of ‘Kipps: Half A Sixpence’ at a rather dramatic garden party, leaving Kipps in a bit of an awkward situation.

Well, ok then! In two weeks, Barnstormers will be on stage singing some of the most popular and iconic songs from musicals such as Grease and Mary Poppins.
