The theme of the Barnstormers Service at 10.30 a.m. on Sunday 9 October will be the transforming power of love using Beauty and the Beast as a parable. This is because, like the parables Jesus, told deeper truths can be found below its surface meaning. So naturally it will be of great interest to all.
Another thing about Beauty and the Beast is that it is a classic example of one of the seven basic themes on which literary experts suggest all stories are based. I guess whichever of the writers wrote the main theme knew this and told us it was a “Tale as old as time, Song as old as rhyme”.
Hope to see one and all there,
